Regi Jones started decorating cakes in the spring of 1991 in Georgia with a cake decorating class just
for fun. The seed to start decorating started much earlier though, as Regi proclaims a great deal of her inspiration to get started in decorating stems from watching her mother bake and decorate cakes. Regi’s mother in turn had watched her mother decorate cakes. It seems decorating is in Regi’s blood as she is a third generation decorator. She also prides herself on the use of her mother’s secret recipes and techniques in her own creations.
Regi’s first cakes were birthday cakes for her own two boys, though as her boys grew, so did her business as she began to decorate cakes for friends and family on a professional basis. Over the last decade she began to specialize her decorating in multi tiered cakes and wedding cakes. Regi’s cakes have won multiple ribbons in the Georgia National Fair as well as the Dixie Classic here in Winston-Salem.
